The third edition of the Rainbow Run in Eindhoven will take place on 18 June 2016 at Genneper Park.
This is an event for everyone – all ages and abilities are more than welcome, including wheelchair users and kids in prams. But please don’t bring your furry four-legged friends.
The Rainbow Run 040 is also for a great cause – the fight against ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). All proceeds from registrations, sponsor contributions and donations will benefit scientific research into ALS. Last year a whopping €110 000 was raised and donated to two projects: € 80 000 to Project Mine and €30 000 to Treeway Summer Challenge.
Everybody begins the run in a bright white t-shirt, which is included in the entry fee, along with a pair of sunglasses. There will be funpoints along the 5km route where colourful powder will be thrown on each and every participant. By the end there won’t be a white t-shirt in sight. Everyone will be covered from head to toe in all shades of the rainbow!
This is not just a fun run but a festive day out. You can start soaking it all up from 12:00, join in the warm up at 14:00 and start running, walking, jogging or rolling when the starting gun sounds at 15:00. When you’ve finished your radiant run, stick around for food, drinks and music, including a Colour Explosion Party which begins at 18:30 and wraps up at 21:00.
Don’t fancy 5km? Why not volunteer on the day, or go along to cheer on the participants and enjoy the atmosphere. Either way, it’s sure to be a fantastic day out.
The entry fee is only €19.50 and you can register here: Rainbow Run Registration. Please note that the last day to register is 31 May!
