2016 is the first time EVER that the Dutch Women’s Handball team will compete in the Olympic Games. Before they head off to Rio to make history, they will be here in Eindhoven to compete against world class teams Russia, Sweden, and Montenegro in the Four Country Tournament (4 landentoernooi).
Did you know that every Wednesday, from 13:00 – 17:00, there is a water festival at the Ir. Ottenbad swimming centre in Eindhoven Noord?

Spring has definitely sprung, and despite the number of people who are sneezing their way through this season, there are even more who have laced up those (neglected?) trainers and are out jogging through the many parks of Eindhoven.
Old dog, new tricks?
Let’s just get this out of the way – I am far from graceful! I was never the little girl dancing around in a pink tutu. I much preferred riding my purple bike over muddy hills and playing “British Bulldog” with the kids on my street. And as an adult, I still prefer cycling and running around to anything slow and controlled. So can you teach an old dog new tricks? I went along to a BarreConcept class to find out!

When I was a kid, my mum used to listen to 2WS – an AM radio station that played “classic hits”. Who knows if this radio station even exists anymore, but what I do know is that I can belt out tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s without a second glance at any karaoke screen.
